Carlos Gutierrez (b. El Paso, Texas) earned his BFA from The University of Texas at El Paso. His work has been exhibited in El Paso, Ciudad Juarez, and Las Cruces.
Working across a diverse range of media-including painting, photography, drawing, performance, site-specific projects, and public art commissions-Carlos creates innovative and thought-provoking pieces. As a Mexican-American artist, he explores the dynamic intersection of two cultures, reimagining the border landscape through engaging and multifaceted concepts.
