I kept going over this bridge that had a sign that read Watch for Ice on Bridge but it was summer and there wasn’t going to be any ice on the bridge any time soon. I bought a truck load of blocks of ice and put them on top of the bridge so the sign made sense at least for a couple of hours while the ice melted in the summer sun.
I didn’t know if what I was doing was illegal so I had place the blocks of ice on the bridge very quick and take some photos to document the piece. The ice lasted almost 5 hours before it completely melted.
Even though the ice was placed early morning the ice started to melt very quick because of the hot concrete.
Placed several blocks of ice on bridge so the sign that said - Ice on Bridge - made sense.

When driving on the freeway in El Paso, Texas you can clearly see some of a neighborhood across the border in Cd. Juarez. I wanted to do an art project in that neighborhood in Cd. Juarez that could be seen from El Paso, Texas. The project consisted of painting several houses that when seen from a certain point in El Paso, Texas would form a green line.
From El Paso the houses in that neighborhood look like they are next to each other but once you are there you find out the houses are on hills and the houses that seemed to be next to each other turn out to be a block apart.

This was a commission in El Paso, Texas.
I had to design different panels made of mosaic that would go around the tower of a clinic. I wanted the designs to be bright and to not have any recognizable images.
